Paige at 10 Months

Paige turned 10 months last Thursday! It almost depresses me that Paige is 10 months....double digits! Where is my baby?!?!?!!?? I really do love the newborn stage, and miss her being my little baby. But I am loving this age, it is SO much fun!

(no she's not cross eyed, but isn't she cute!?)

10 Month Stats:
(i'm totally guessing!)

Weight: 18 lbs
Length: 27-28 inches
Size Diaper: Pampers 3 (at night), Fuzzibunz Mediums, and Bumgenius One-Size
Size Clothes: 9-12 months
Sleep: Still sleeps from about 7:30-7:30, these last few mornings we've had to go wake her up! She naps from about 9:15-11:15, and 2-3:30
Feedings: I nurse at 7:30, 11:30, 3:30, and 7ish. She gets solids 3X a day after each feeding, except the last one she eats closer to our dinner, about 5:30. Since I just did her 9 month post, I don't think she's had anything new to eat. The main thing she is doing is a lot less purees and much more finger food.

Last week we took Paige to see the Christmas lights in Chickasha, Oklahoma. They have a big Christmas light display, and it's free. Double Win.

While it was in the 60's during the day and quite comfortable, the temperature dropped by the time we got there. I was freezzzzzing!!!! I felt so bad for Paige, because I didn't bring her big coat but just a light hoodie. We didn't spend tons of time because we were all so cold, but it was a lot of fun.

When we were in Dallas, Amy gave Paige a stuffed bunny. Paige has played with it almost non stop.

I could have done an entire post on the bunny.

love this one!

While giving Paige a bath the other day, we found out what her hair can do.

Her hair doesn't seem that curly when it's dry, but there's a lot of it when it's wet!

We celebrated Christmas with Daniel's side of the family yesterday. Not sure if Paige had a clue, but she had fun!

Gifts is my love language, so I had a blast opening all her gifts, ha!

Paige and Grandpa reading her new books.

Time with Great Grandpa!

Friday we took Paige to see Santa. I was SO excited, I was practically giddy!

I think this one is precious!

I am SO excited about Paige's first Christmas!!!! I know she doesn't understand it, but it's been so much fun for me! We went shopping last night to pick her up a few things, and I enjoyed it way much more than is normal. I think it's because living in Asia I buy online or have to try and read in a second language what the toy is. Shopping in america, reading english......it's just a gift in itself really.

Paige has gone to the nursery a few times at church, and has done so well! She's gotten really good at just going to people. But something clicks at about 6pm at night and if I leave the room she notices.

We are getting on the road this afternoon-we'll spend the night in Ft. Worth with my Aunt, then get up early and head for Houston to meet up with my family at Sarah's house. It will be the first time for my nephews to meet Paige, and my dad hasn't seen her since she was 6 weeks-crazy!

I hope to blog but with 4 crazy kids running around, I might just be thankful for 5 minutes of quiet at the end of the day, ya know??

Anyways..... that's Paige at 10 months!!!! Woo hoo!

Life in the USA

We've been in the States for a month now. So much has happened already, I can't believe it's only been a month.

Last week we took a little road trip to Dallas.

We went right after all the bad weather in Dallas. I was so happy to see this sign. I just love Texas!

BFF Amy was in town (she lives in Hawaii), and I was DYING to see her! She has a little boy and we've already decided he and Paige will be the perfect couple.

Aren't they precious??!!?!!?  It was really hard to get good pics of them... they both like to move, and are way too busy to stop and take a pic.

Amy and I haven't seen each other in 3 1/2 years, since she got married. That is WAY too long.

We had the best time! We all stayed at Amy's parents house and hung out, ate, and just had fun. We hung out in our pj's, went to Cheesecake Factory, Amy and I went shopping, and we watched the kids play. It was wonderful and more.  Daniel and Jeremy get along really well, which makes it easier for me and Amy to go to Target while they hang out at home with the kiddos :)

Did I mention it's hard to take pictures with children?

Love her!

While we were in Dallas, I also got to hook up with Jen! We were both in each other's weddings, and have been friends for several years! Her little girl is just a few months older than Paige. I saw her last year, but Jen hadn't seen Paige yet. So we met at the Cracker Barrel and caught up a bit.

Isn't this cute?!?! Paige just reached over and grabbed Anna'as hand. They can't wait to be good friends!

Anna was sweet to pass this toy onto Paige. She loves it and has been playing with it non-stop. My only complaint is that children's toys that play music should all include a volume button. Just sayin. :)

That was our week in Dallas! I'll try to post soon about what else we've been up to, and Paige's 10 month post!

Paige at 9 Months

Or should I say 10 months, wowzers I've gotten behind!

9 Months IN
(let's say 10 because homegirl was way overdue!)

9 Months OUT

(it was 5am in the morning)

We are now in the States, Oklahoma to be exact, and we have hit the ground running pretty hard. Jetlag was a BEAST for Paige. It took her almost 10 days to get adjusted. She went straight into her normal daytime schedule with wake and naptime like a rockstar. But at night she was awake sometimes anywhere from 11pm-4am. We were sooo tired! Finally she got to just waking up once a night for about an hour. After a little CIO, Paige went back to her normal 12 hours at night. Hallelujah! Jetlag with a baby is a whole new ballgame.....as in I never want to do it again. But I know with our life...it will be more of  the norm, rather than the exception.

Here we are at 3 in the morning, eating cheerios.

Poor thing was so tired!

I have no clue on stats, so these are all guesses.

9 Month Stats

Weight: Maybe 18 lbs
Length: 27 inches
Size Diaper: Pampers Size 3, or FB Medium cloth, BumGenius Onesize
Size Clothes: 9 months, and some 12-18 months in pants
Sleep: Still rocking it from 7:30-7:30 each night, then 2 hr nap from 9:15-11:15, and 1 1/2 hr nap from 1:30-3.
Feedings: I nurse at 7, 11, 3, and 7. Paige is now eating solids 3 times a day. She usually eats them at 8, 12, and 5. She has had pasta, oranges, kiwi, blueberries, ham, turkey, chicken, bread, mango, guava, pineapple, avocado, zucchini, cauliflower, cheerios, puffs, egg yolks, soy beans, and corn. I'm sure she has had more, but that's all I can remember. I put a tbs of cereal in each solid feeding. I'm anxious to meet with a pediatrician at some point to see how much cereal she's supposed to be getting.

Playing at cousin's house!

It has been SO fun to see Paige play with her little cousins! We have two nieces here in Oklahoma, one just being 1 month younger than Paige. We've had some fun cousin time!

Here's Paige at her first thanksgiving!!! She had a cold that day :(

My little turkey!

Paige and Daddy on Daniel's birthday!

Paige is not a huge laugher, but she scrunches up her nose and bobs her head up and down whenever she gets tickled. She's been doing it non stop lately, and the cuteness is almost too much!

Caught!

My sweetie pie!

Paige started playing with this little car at Grandma & Granpda's house. It didn't take her long to get on and off all by herself. She's so proud.

We are going to Dallas next week to visit friends. So far Paige has done okay in the carseat, I'm interested to see what 3 hours will be like!

Paige gets cuter every day. She has started clapping, waving, and she can say hi, bye-bye, and mama. She pulls up on everything and is doing almost everything but walking. She walks around holding on to things and loves for you to hold her hands and walk with her.

Paige is now very aware who Mama is! She is not as willing to go to strangers like she used to be. After a few minutes though she seems to warm up and let people hold her.

I'll try to be better about her 10 month post....which is less than 2 weeks!

love you Paigers!

Coming to town

Sarah & Mike (sis and bro in law) flew in late last Saturday night. I was so excited, I couldn't believe my sister finally made it here!! I couldn't wait to show her where I live and the culture.

Other than their first day, they both did great with jet lag! I think making them stay busy all day long every day helped!

I was very surprised at how adventurous Mike was-he wanted to try everything, no matter how different!

Paige loved all the time with her Auntie Sarah and Uncle Mikey! There was a lot of fun playtime!

Daddy got in some good reading time too!

Enjoying our local noodle shop! (they make the noodles right in front of you) I was impressed with their desire and ability to learn how to eat with chopsticks!

Sarah LOVES tea! She is a Teavana addict and drinks about 5 cups a day. She really needs to be a sales rep for them. We did a tea demonstration while they were here, it was so much fun! And of course Sarah bought about 7 tins of tea!

We went to the local opera/play while they were here. We had a friend watch Paige, and Daniel and I especially loved having a night out!

We even went to Starbucks and got a gingerbread man cookie, which the barista kept referring to as a snowman. I LOVE Starbucks at Christmas-the red cups, the special mugs, it just makes me feel all warm and happy inside.

One day we went downtown. Here we are trying to blend in.

There is just something about having a sister. There's just a different realness when being with her.

think we look alike???

I loved seeing Sarah with Paige. Being moms together is so much fun!

I normally would've been really sad to say good-bye, but we will actually be coming to the States in 10 days for several months. So instead of a sad teary good-bye, we were both like, okay see you!
