Paige at 11 Months

Every month I'm in denial that Paige is growing up. Don't even talk to me about her turning 1 in a few weeks. As I mentioned in the last post, as much as I miss the newborn stage, I LOVE how I can see Paige changing every single day. It's truly amazing how she can daily learn something or do something new. She amazes us.

11 Month Stats:

Weight: 18 lbs
Height: 27-28 inches
Size Diaper: Pampers 3, BumGenius Onesize, Fuzzibunz Mediums
Size Clothes: 9-12 Months
Size Shoe: 3-3 1/2
Sleep: Still rocking it from about 7:30-7:30. We've had several mornings of waking her up at 7:45 and 8. She naps from 9:30-11:30, and 2-3:30/4
Feedings: She nurses at 7:30, 11:30, 3:30/4, and 7:15. She has 3 meals at 8, 12, and 5ish. Unless we are out somewhere when she eats, Paige is pretty much eating all table food. She loves eating finger foods, and has even tried to feed herself a few times recently.
Teeth: 6! She got 3 in one week. She now has 4 on top and 2 on the bottom.

She loves noodles, pasta, green beans, eggs, blueberries,  and bread. I need to be better about remembering new foods she tries. She did have tomato and solid corn this past month and I'm sure a few others, but I can't remember.

I took her back to the doctor to check on her diaper rash, because it just wasn't going away. He checked and her ear infection hadn't clear up either.  You can see her playing with cousin Adelyn, how great they are at sharing germs, ha! So she went on another round of antibiotics and got another prescription cream. I could tell a difference just with in a day or two.

Poor thing was miserable in this picture. But at least the girls are matching!

We celebrated our first Christmas as a family of 3, and it was wonderful! I've always loved the holidays, but having Paige definitely kicks my excitement up a notch. Especially when she's so adorable in her little Christmas footed jammies.

I'm sure it will only get worse, but it seems like Paige is into EVERYTHING these days! We are constantly redirecting her to the "yes toys" or the "yes cupboards" that she can play with. This past week I've lost her twice. One second she's playing in the living room, I look up and then can't find her. So I go racing down the halls and then find her sitting in the bathroom playing with her bath toys. Gives me a heart attack.

She has quickly learned what the nursery is at church. The last two times I've dropped her off she started crying hard. I know in about 10 seconds she'll be playing with a toy and perfectly fine, but I hate seeing her cry. Of course, after church she went straight into the arms of a complete stranger too, so....

Paige has started giving kisses and oh my gosh the cuteness is entirely too much!!! We were playing peek a boo the other day, I asked for a kiss and she gave me one! She will give them to us almost every time we ask now. Of course, they are the open mouth, drooly kisses, but I will take them!

A big milestone for Paige this past month was getting her very first pair of shoes! Grandma took us with cousin Ava (who's just one month younger) and we had the best time!

When Paige was measured we found her her left foot is a half size bigger than her right. She wears a size 3 or 3 1/2. She doesn't seem to mind wearing them, and I think they are too cute! And it's so nice to be able to take her outside now and walk around with shoes on.

Speaking of walking, Paige did take her first steps the day after Christmas. Today she has stood up by herself several times, but won't walk once she's up. But we'll catch her taking a few steps if she thinks we're not looking. I'm pretty sure she'll be walking by her birthday.

She's doing great in the car. We drove to Houston and back over Christmas, and she did great, which makes it much easier on us.

Some of her favorite things to do right now, are bath time (she constantly is trying to get in the bathtub), eating, playing with Tupperware in Grandma's cupboard, climbing (she's a mini Alex Honnold), sitting in the brown chair, using her walking toy, and playing with her music center.

Love this face!

I love my little goober to pieces! She truly makes being a mom just a joy! Her personality is coming out and I love it. Paige is so much fun and I want to have 10 more just like her. :)

Happy 11 Months!

My Birthday

I celebrated my 32nd birthday last Sunday, the 5th. It was a really low key day, which was perfect!

My birthday was on Sunday, but Daniel took me out Saturday night-Sarah watched the little one. We went to Cheesecake Factory for dinner, then saw the second Hunger Games, then went back to CF for dessert. We had such a great time! With a baby, it makes going out on a date a bit hard, so we were so appreciative to Sarah for watching her for us. A while back I told my sister all I wanted to do for my birthday was to go out to dinner and a movie. I LOVE going to the movies. But again, with a baby and living overseas, it's rare. I've already seen 2 movies here in the States in the past several weeks and I get giddy every time we go. Love. It.

We were still at my sisters house in Houston, her husband was traveling for work, and my mom took my nephews for a few days. So it was just me, Daniel, Sarah, and the 2 little girls. We were in our pj's most of the day. Which was just lovely.

The girls were still getting over their ear infections, and Adelyn still wasn't feeling too great, so we missed church and went to IHOP. I love IHOP. When I was pregnant I went almost every week we were in the States. The Cinnastax pancakes-you'll thank me.

Sarah made my favorite White Almond Wedding Cake. It's so yummy and moist! Daniel picked up these cupcake plates. I love anything cupcake. And sidenote, the wooden tray in the pic-I just bought that at World Market. It was something I just couldn't say no to. And it matches my dishes perfectly!

After cake we had presents. The girls really wanted to help.

My favorite part about my birthday, was watching the Green Bay Packers, live, in america, on tv. It was truly magical. We all put on her shirts to support the Pack.

Sadly, they didn't win. But it was a really good game! We ordered Papa John's and ate more cake. It really doesn't get much better than that.

Sarah's birthday is only 2 days after mine. We haven't been together on our birthday's in probably 8-10 years. We soaked it up and had the best time. For Sarah's birthday the guys watched the girls, and we went to Starbucks and read. Well, the plan was to read, but we mostly just ended up talking.

And speaking of birthday's, the blog turned 4 on January 8th. So happy birthday to me and the blog!

p.s. we're back in Oklahoma now :)

New Years

Let me just be honest and say I'm so happy I celebrated New Years in Texas. I've been enjoying being back in my home state...seeing all the Texas license plates, the t shirts, etc...Sometimes I forget where I'm at and get really excited when I see someone wearing something with Texas on it. Then I remember where I'm at, ha.

Sarah and I went and got our haircut, and ended up getting the same cut. 5 minutes after we left, a lady asked if we were twins. I was like no, doesn't one of us (not me hint hint) look MUCH older??

NYE we just hung around the house. After the girls were in bed, we played monopoly and ate chocolate cake. Somehow I won. It really was one of the best comebacks in game history. We were all in bed by 10:30, and that was pushing it for us old people. Having kids does really change everything.

Sarah and I started the year on the right foot (ha) by getting in a good run on New Years Day. Paige tried to come along.

We had lobster and crab legs for lunch. It was my very first time to eat lobster.

Sadly, I wasn't the biggest fan. I don't have a big gag reflex at all, but something was just off and I couldn't bring myself to really eat it. I mentally freaked myself out about it. I did have a few crab legs though.

One thing we've had fun doing is dressing the girls up in matching outfits.

Paige has had a bad diaper rash for 2 weeks, so I figured I'd take her to Sarah's pediatrician to get it checked out, especially since Paige hasn't technically been to a pediatrician since she was 6 weeks. Adelyn wasn't feeling good either, so we made a group visit.

Come to find out, both girls had ear infections. It's Paige's first, and her first time to even really be sick. They are both on antibiotics. I'm really glad I took her in because her rash was infected too, and she needed a rx cream. I felt weird at first going, because I was afraid they'd be like, wow, new mom, there's nothing wrong with your child. But I would've never known about the ear infection, cos she didn't have a fever and seemed fine. I'm also extremely thankful we were in the states to have quick access to meds.

Paige was 18 lbs, and her almost 3 month older cousin, was 18.3. No wonder it feels like they are twins.

She has a habit of just raising one fist in the air. We always yell " Paige power!"

We bought her a few bows for Christmas. Have you EVER seen anything cuter?!?!!?

Tomorrow is my birthday. It's my favorite holiday of the entire year. I would celebrate it daily if others would join me, ha! But seriously......

Daniel is taking me to Cheesecake Factory for dinner, then we are seeing the new Hunger Games movie. I just read the first two books over the last couple of days. I'm so excited to see the movie tonight!!! Sarah is babysitting for us.

Happy New Year!

Paige's First Christmas

We are currently in Houston, Texas. We drove in late on the 23rd. We were going to stop in Ft. Worth on the way, but Paige was doing so well in the car we went ahead and drove all the way.

Christmas Eve, Sarah and I went for a run then did a little bit of last minute shopping. That afternoon all of us-including Sarah's whole family and my parents, went to church for the Christmas Eve service. My mom bought the girls these matching dresses and they were so adorable! Despite Adelyn being 11 weeks older than Paige, they're pretty much the exact same size. Both have blue eyes and blonde hair and have amazing mothers. :)

This is the first time I've put a bow (actually even had a bow) in Paige's hair. I die. Seriously. She was already cute before, but with a bow?!?!!? It is just too much.

I bought the girls matching reindeer antlers, but I couldn't find the other pair at first, so we didn't get matching pictures. I promise Paige is happy. But she's such a people watcher and is so curious, she gets caught up in watching things around her instead of smiling on demand like we ask, ha!

Cousin Ethan-he's SO good with babies, he loves on them and is so sweet.

Sarah's boys are 7 and 5 and very into Christmas! We knew they were going to be up early so it was an early morning for all of us. First we did stockings, then had a big waffle breakfast, then went back to opening gifts. Paige has been sleeping in a lot lately, so I let her sleep until after stockings.

Grant excited about his TCBY giftcard.

Ethan enjoying presents from Santa.

Daniel about to open his stocking! He is so cute!

Sarah and Ethan!

The hat says "Baby's First Christmas," shockingly she left it on the whole time.

I haven't been sleeping well, so this is me tired.

And here I am excited! I love Christmas! And I love presents!

Paige got a little ahead of herself and started opening her cousins' presents.

This is the first time in years that all of my family was together for Christmas. With Mike being a pilot, he rarely gets the day off. It was wonderful all being together for a few days.

She looks so chunky here! She really liked playing with the bows.

Me and my little goober. I just love this girl.

We didn't go overboard with presents for Paige this year, especially since she doesn't have a clue. But we got her a few things, I loved picking things out for her!

Paige and Adelyn have been sharing their presents the past few days. Sharing might be a stretch, but they do both slobber and rub their snot on the same toys.

My favorite thing about Christmas this year was being all together. With us living overseas and Mike flying all over the place, it is rare that we all get together. And if we do, it's only for a few days. So to have my family all together for Christmas....I'm so thankful! I love quality time with my peeps.

I have SO much to blog! i'll try and get caught up over the next few days.

Merry Christmas!

love
